When I bought this
dress I immediately knew I was wearing my platforms with it. My favorite part of
this plus size denim shift dress is the side detail that lines both sides with
a softer denim color. Denim pieces are kind of my kryptonite (See Proof Here
& Here) I’ve been mildly obsessed with having a short sleeve denim dress so
I kind of rushed to buy this one even though it was a size up from my normal
size in plus size dresses which is typically a XL or a 0x & this was a 1x.
I looked online for it and couldn’t find it, so I decided I was keeping it
despite the sizing.
Generally people want
plus size chicks to cinch the waist to create a shape…. However I wanted the shift dress kind of feel
so I wore it loose and comfy and I’m sure cinching this dress would take it to
a cute day look for life, but I wanted to keep it cute, fun, and open to
interpretation like a laid back Sunday. I like the dress, but I will say shirt
dresses and shift dresses can turn into bag lady real quick and unless that’s
the look you’re going for DON’T be like me, and buy your size lol.
I’m thinking of
actually wearing this over some jeans as a half in/ half out thing or maybe
over a longer skirt THEN belting it for a super girly fit
and flare kind of look.
